Planting Churches

grid_tiles-planting-churchesA planting church is a new work (or in some cases a revitalization) that is in the seedling stage. Showing signs of gospel growth but still very fragile, there are over a dozen churches in varying stages of the planting cycle here in Maine. Made up of dedicated servants of God, the leaders of these churches are working hard to penetrate their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to prayerfully work with these churches to see them effectively grow and mature into sponsoring churches which is the next step in the church growth model.

Welcome to Maine Church Planting. We are glad you are here. The first SBC church was planted in Maine over 40 years ago.  Through the years God has been faithful to bless the work as godly men have planted the Gospel throughout the State.  Our prayer for the coming years is that God will multiply his work as many of the established SBC Churches in Maine become Church Planting Centers.
