One of our goals as a gospel-driven, Christ-centered church planting network is to help people discover both on a personal and a corporate level how God is working here in Maine and identify possible opportunities for growth and involvement within the work He has already started.

The theme of discovery is an appropriate concept for the wonderful state of Maine. With the nickname of “Vacationland” people from literally all over the world come to Maine to explore it’s spectacular natural resources. Many come once on a pilgrimage of sorts to take in the beauty of places like Acadia National park or to visit the lighthouses speckled along the rocky coast of the northern Atlantic Ocean. Based on the simplest definition of discover – “to notice or realize”, our goal with the Maine Church Planting Network is to continually pursue discovering God’s purpose both individually and corporately as we seek to plant churches in this part of the United States.

Discover What God is Doing

As you can see on our Planter Page, there are currently over 14 church planting efforts in varying stages of start-up taking place all across the state. In addition there two churches fulfilling what we call Sponsor Churches (churches that are supporting one or more of these church planting efforts financially and/or spiritually) as well as two Multiplying Churches (churches that are actively training and sending out disciples to plant churches).

Discover How You Can Get Involved

While we are extremely encouraged to see God at work in the communities represented by these faithful followers, with a population of over 1.3 million people in a state that is well below the national average in any form of religious belief, we recognize that the harvest truly is plentiful. We are actively seeking redeemed partners that are potentially called to come help in the work that is being done here in Maine. We would be thrilled to hear from you if you are interested in learning more. Whether you want to simply stay connected and continue to pray with us and consider possible¬† future options, or whether you are ready to move here and become involved at the “boots on the ground” level, we’d love to engage with you and get to know you better.
